H&M join hands with Lavin to create the most influential brand in the 21st century

H&M is thrilled to reveal its latest collaboration with Lanvin, one of the most iconic and influential fashion houses of the 21st century. This exclusive collection, designed by Lanvin’s artistic director Alber Elbaz alongside menswear designer Lucas Ossendrijver, will be available from November 23, 2010, in H&M’s global network of over 200 specialty stores. The line features both Men's and Women's wear, blending Lanvin’s signature elegance with H&M’s accessible style. The collection will make its debut on November 2, marking a major moment in the fashion world. Following this, it will be available for purchase in select H&M stores within three weeks. With its unique blend of luxury and affordability, the Lanvin for H&M series is set to become one of the most anticipated fashion collaborations of the year. Alber Elbaz, Lanvin’s creative director, shared his excitement: “H&M and I have always believed in bringing beauty and joy to people through fashion. While I once joked that I would never design a Volkswagen, I’m now proud to see how H&M has helped bring Lanvin’s vision to a broader audience. Our styles may differ, but we both share a deep passion for creating beautiful, meaningful pieces that resonate with people around the world. This partnership is truly groundbreaking.” Margaretavanden Bosch, H&M’s creative director, added: “Lanvin’s influence on fashion is undeniable, and we’re thrilled to work with them on this exclusive collection. This collaboration brings a touch of timeless French luxury into everyday fashion. The designs are rich in detail, with expert tailoring and craftsmanship that reflect Lanvin’s heritage. We can’t wait for our customers to experience the magic of this collection.” Since joining Lanvin in 2001, Alber Elbaz has redefined the brand, transforming it into a modern fashion icon. Over the past decade, he has introduced trends like ribbons, bows, pearls, and intricate embellishments, turning them into fashion classics. His talent for fabric and cut has made every Lanvin piece instantly recognizable. In 2006, he also launched a menswear collection that reimagined traditional male fashion, introducing a fresh, elegant casual style that continues to inspire today. This marks the latest in a long list of high-profile collaborations for H&M, which has previously worked with icons such as Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Comme des Garçons, and Sonia Rykiel. Unlike previous campaigns, the Lanvin for H&M collection will be unveiled through a specially produced short film on November 2. Customers worldwide can watch the film on www.hm.com, and three weeks later, they’ll have the opportunity to purchase the full collection. With a perfect balance of artistry and accessibility, this collaboration promises to be more than just a fashion event—it’s a celebration of creativity, culture, and connection.
