China's exports of plastic products from January to November increased 14.2% year-on-year

The General Administration of Customs has released updated figures showing that China's exports of plastic products from January to November 2010 rose by 14.2% year-on-year, reaching a total of 6,763,415 tons. Meanwhile, imports of primary-shaped plastics increased slightly by 0.2% to 21.66 million tons during the same period. These preliminary data, published on December 10, highlight the steady growth in the country’s plastic export sector. In November alone, China exported 654,276 tons of plastic products, contributing to the strong cumulative performance for the first 11 months of the year. The rise in exports reflects growing global demand for Chinese-made plastic goods, particularly in manufacturing and packaging industries. On the import side, primary-shaped plastics saw a modest increase of 0.2%, with total imports reaching 21.66 million tons from January to November. This suggests that domestic industries are maintaining their reliance on raw materials, despite broader economic fluctuations. Overall, the data indicates a positive trend in China’s plastic trade, with exports outpacing imports and signaling a strong position in the global market. Analysts believe this growth could continue as long as international demand remains robust and supply chains remain stable.
